The principle behind the RT style is that slightly bigger
is more comfortable. The guitars are great to play when seated, but you won't
put your chiropractor's kid through college if you play standing up. They
are all chambered.
Pictured here are three RTs. The close up above is a quilted
cherry top (bookmatched) with a mahogany back (with a quartersawn maple and
walnut core). The pickups are two Carvin humbuckers (splittable), and the
neck is maple with an ebony board.
The RT at left above has a quilted maple top (bookmatched).
Again, the back is mahogany with a quartersawn core of maple and poplar. The
pickups are Rio Grandes. The neck is maple and ebony.
The guitar at right has a bookmatched zircote top. The
back is four pieces of walnut with the two center pieces quartersawn. The
pickups are a very hot DiMarzio at the bridge and a really wonderful Gibson
P-94 at the neck. The neck is maple and ebony.
Also in stock are 1) a bookmatched walnut top RT with
an active Alembic system (two humbuckers), 2) a sycamore RT with three Lace
Sensors, 3) a quilted cherry RT with old-style (original) Fender Jeff Beck
Strat electronics (Lace Sensors). These are very dramatic guitars, to say
the least.
