At T.P. Noble we use good stuff. Life is too short as
it is, and it takes just as long to install and wire lousy pickups as it does
to use good ones.
There are lots of high quality pickups available. I am
still experimenting, and expect to be doing so . . . forever.

I get hooked on different styles and sounds. I suspect
most players do. Sometimes there is nothing as sweet to my ears as a nice
single coil low output pickup. Sounds so good you can taste it. Other times
a really hot humbucker or two feels like the most appropriate item in the
world.
I'm always looking for great tone and reliability in pickups,
and people keep turning me onto new stuff. I just HAVE to try them out. So
when someone asks what pickups I use, I don't have a short answer.
Our studio, where the available guitars live, is a great
place for players to check out different set-ups in a relaxed environment.
I always like to find out what players like and don't like.
The possibilities are inspiring. I encourage players to
color outside the lines a little and give new stuff an honest try.

there is so much high quality gear available!
